1954, 10¢ Minuteman, Orange Red, United States (Scott #WS7)

SKU WS7
Price

$25.00

This 1954, 10¢ Minuteman, Orange Red stamp belongs to the U.S. Savings Stamp program, issued by the United States Post Office Department as part of a postwar national savings initiative. These stamps were sold primarily through schools and collected in special albums; once the required total was reached, the filled album could be exchanged for a U.S. Savings Bond. This issue continues the iconic Minuteman design previously used on World War II–era War Savings stamps, with the key inscription changed to “Savings Stamp”, confirming it is not a wartime issue. This is a genuine 10-cent Savings Stamp issue of 1954.
